With PointMMO you can start playing right away by downloading only a small part of the game (usually 5% -15%, depending on the individual game). The remaining data then downloads in the background while you play the game.

 

First, you must install the PointMMO App on your PC (not available for Mac currently). This light plug-in allows you to play any of the games on the site and you only have to do this once. Then, you can install the game on your PC when you click on the "Play Now" buttons associated with the games on the PointMMO site. No additional installation is required after the full game is on your hard drive, and you get to start playing the game during the download.

Every game has a different threshold. There will be a loading bar and countdown timer on www.PointMMO.com, indicating the time needed before you can start playing the game. The amount of time depends on the speed of your internet connection, the faster it is the faster the game is ready to play. Typically MMORPG games require the smallest percentage to be installed before playing, with MMOFPS titles taking the largest percentage based on the structure of the gameplay. No matter how long it takes, PointMMO is always the fastest way to play.

 

Due to the technology used by the PointMMO application to be able to play games before they are fully downloaded, the application requires Windows administrator rights to start a game. When Windows User Access Control (UAC) asks for administration rights after clicking Play, they will have to be granted or the game will not start properly.

A minimum connection of 1 Mbps is recommended for smooth performance, but it even works at speeds lower than that. The downside is with a slow connection, you may need closer to 100% of the download to play the game.

Games are stored as images by the PointMMO application. They are saved to C:\ProgramData\PointMMO\images (ProgramData is a system folder hidden by Windows by default). When the game is started through the PointMMO site, a virtual drive containing the game files will appear (i.e. Z:\game).

Log in to the PointMMO site and click on "My account". At the bottom of that page, you'll see all the games you installed, with "Play" and "Delete" buttons next to them. Simply click the "Delete" button to uninstall that game.

The PointMMO Social Hub is an optional program that is bundled with the downloads, and includes the popular communication tools like Teamspeak, Skype, Twitter, Facebook and more social features. You can take a screenshot or capture your gameplay on video and share it with your friends and the community.

When you have 100% of the game downloaded, the game's auto-patcher should take care of the update for you. If the current game image you have isn't suitable for patching, you may choose between downloading the new image or 100% of the game image and proceed with the patching process.

Yes you can, and the PointMMO downloader will resume your download at the point where you left off.

Below the login panel on the left, there is a link: "Forgot your password". Click on it and enter the e-mail that you used to register for the site. A password reset link will be sent to your email address on file within 10 minutes.

Step 1: Click on the download button of your chosen game to obtain a copy of PointMMO app.

Step 2: Install the PointMMO Plug-in.

The PointMMO Plug-in is only 40.7 MB. The games you download are installed on your C: drive and may take up to few GB of space. Please make sure you have enough space available.

 

Step 3: Done and start downloading
